Beware the Quiet Ones
Still streams hide deep waters Unmoved, what is underneath is hidden The direction is not controlled by anyone else's decision Silence is oft feared Thoughts are louder without distraction Cymbals, a symphony within crashing Need something to block these out Why be afraid of sitting with yourself? Does the quiet make you want to admit you need help? The realization strikes everyone at one point or another It isn't under stubbornness or anxiety that you should let that point be smothered When will the mystery be uncovered? What new hell will be discovered? Basic rhymes march in time to the beat of the silent heart Tear the loudness apart Tear the loudness apart

I love this! I relate to it 💯
Sometimes the loudest things in us only become audible when everything else falls silent. I like how this moves from the fear of quiet toward the possibility hidden inside it. “Thoughts are louder without distraction” feels especially true. The silence isn’t the danger. It’s the place where we finally hear what has been waiting. ❤️
